OUR STORY

WHERE DREAMS FIND THEIR WINGS.

No students dream should die because of financial barriers.

My name is Salamane Yameogo, and I am the founder of Campus Call, a vision inspired by One Yes, One Belief, and One Act of Kindness, created to open doors and give dreamers everywhere the wings to fly.

Campus Call exists to break the financial walls that deny students, future leaders, and changemakers access to the education they need to shape the future. The C-Call is a call to action, grounded in the belief that one act of kindness has the power to turn financial barriers into pathways for education, leadership, and lasting impact.

WHEN YOU HEAR ‘NO,’ KEEP KNOCKING

I was born and raised on a small farm where education was not guaranteed, rather it was a privilege. But my parents believed in something bigger for me. They registered me in school. And every single day, I walked nearly 20 kilometers to class. Barefoot. Dusty roads. Burning sun. Heavy rain. Those miles were not just steps. They were acts of faith. Faith that the child who walked them would one day walk through bigger doors. Through resilience and determination, I earned a Master of Laws in 2004 in Burkina Faso. That was a milestone.

But what came next became a turning point in my journey. I received an acceptance letter to a graduate program in International Development in Geneva, Switzerland. It was more than an opportunity; it was a doorway to a new adventure, a new purpose, and a new horizon.

But there was a price tag: $500 CAD for a plane ticket.

For some, that amount might seem insignificant. For me, it was a wall. A wall that stood between me and the doorway to possibility.

For some, that is pocket change. For me, it was a wall: a wall taller than any I had ever faced.
I knocked on every door I could find: the doors of ministers, professors, family members, and friends. I was met with words that echoed deep:

  • Money does not fall from the sky.
  • Who are you to ask?
  • And often, silence spoke louder than any answer.

Each ‘NO’ echoed louder than the one before, but I refused to let rejection write my story. I kept knocking.”

THE MAN WHO SAID “YES”

Then came one man: Professor Luc Marius IBRIGA. He did not just see a student in need. He saw a dream worth fighting for.

He looked me in the eyes and did not hesitate. He put me on the back of his green motorcycle, drove through the city, walked into a bank, withdrew $500 CAD, placed the cash in my hands, and said:

“Don’t pay me back. Follow your dream. Realize your potential.”

I can still feel the weight of those bills, but the money was never the point. What I truly carried in my hands that day was: Trust. Belief.

A baton. That single act of kindness put me on a plane to Geneva. But more importantly, it gave birth to a mission larger than both of us, a mission built to last, to grow, and to change lives for generations.

FROM ONE BATON TO MANY

In 2022, Professor Ibriga passed away, but his legacy lives on. His act of kindness remains a light in my story and the stories of many to come. That $500 became more than a gift. It became a seed. A seed that grew into Campus Call, a vision built on the unshakable belief that one act can change a life, and one life can light a path for many others.

Today, Campus Call is a call to action, a promise to ensure that no students dream dies at the gate of financial barriers.

Beyond funds, the C-Call is about unlocking potential and shaping futures.

  • We are raising a generation of bold, visionary leaders.

  • We are opening doors that redefine what is possible.

  • We are building legacies that will echo through generations.

WHY THIS MATTERS?

  • Because one act has the power to unlock potential.
  • Because one life has the power to inspire many.
  • Because one vision has the power to build a new future.

The story of Campus Call is not just my story. It is the story of every young dreamer standing at the gate of opportunity without a key, their hearts full of hope and their eyes fixed on possibility. It is the story of those ready to change the world: if only someone will believe enough to “SAY YES.”

THIS IS YOUR BATON

Each one of us holds the power to say “YES”:

  • Yes, to hope.
  • Yes, to opportunity.
  • Yes, to transform a life.
